Cats And Kittens Who Have Left Us

Here you will find details of previous Ragapost cats and kittens who have gone to live in their new homes.

Lavender

Lavender was my first ever Ragdoll. Sadly I could not breed from her as she wasnt registered and didnt have pedigree papers. The very hard decision to rehome her was made and she went to live with her new owner Ruth and her family in Cornwall.
Ruth keeps in touch and lets us know how Lavender is getting on which is really nice and we also see that she just gets more beautiful with age.

Crystal

Crystal is Lavenders sister and she was also one of my first ever Ragdolls. Sadly again she wasn't registered so she too was rehomed. Crystal is now called Paris and lives with Denise, Trevor and Tom in Bradford. These pictures were taken today 19/5/07 as Paris has come to stay with us for a week whilst her mum and dad go on holiday. It is so lovely to see how wonderful she has turned out. She is a little bit unsettled at the moment as she isn't used to other cats and feels much safer in the pen in her basket. She has been out for lots of cuddles though and is slowly coming round.

Emerisle Peapod

peapod

Today Peapod went to her new home in Cheltenham to live with Gemma and Tom and their 12 year old cat Katie.
Peapod sadly needed to be rehomed where she could be either an only cat or one of a pair due to having to have a light senior diet. Luckily Katie is on the same diet as Peapod is so there were no problems to foresee.
We had a call this morning 11/5/07 from Gemma to say Peapod had settled in lovely overnight. Her and the other cat were touching noses and there was no spitting or hissing going on. It seems like Peapod is well at home there.

Ragcroft Sunbeamatragapost

ferne

Ferne came to us as a potential show / breed raggie but sadly she developed a coloured chin which is a serious withholding fault in showing. She has now been rehomed with Jac and her family in Edinburgh. She also has a new raggie friend Caspurr who she will grow up with.

Adsetlo Teddy Cuddlecat

teddy

Teddy came to us as a potential stud boy but sadly his blood group was the wrong match for our girls here at Ragapost. Due to the serious complications involved of incorrect blood group matings we had to allow Teddie to be rehomed. He has been rehomed as a household pet and now lives in Pontefract with Katie and her family where he is very spoilt. He is a very laid back boy and it would have been unfair to neuter him and keep him here penned up when he could be a member of someone's household. Teddy will be neutered soon and will live the life of one spoilt kittie. We will post updated pictures as and when we recieve them of him.

21/04/08 Here is an updated photo of Teddie sent to us by his new owner Katy. He has grown into a very handsome young man and is still very happily living with his partner in crime Jypsi. There is also a picture further down this page of him and Jypsi together.

Ragapost Bailey's Dream

cream of crop 4 wks
      Bailey aged 4 weeks old

Today 23/8/07 Ragapost Bailey's Dream (Bailey) left us to go and live with his new family Gary and Lynn and their children Jenna and Jolee in Staffordshire. Bailey was our first ever homebred Ragapost baby to go to his new family. We will post updated pics of Bailey as and when we receive them from his new owners.

Ragapost Blueberry Dream

Blossom new

Today 07/9/07 Ragapost Blueberry Dream (Blossom) left us to go and live with her new family Theresa and her family in Pontefract. Hopefully we will see Blossom in the very near future when she attends her first show and see how she does. We will post updated pics as and when we receive them from her new owners.
We received some new pictures of Blossom from Theresa today along with an update that she is doing really well and so much loved. As you can see Blossom has turned into a very pretty young lady.

Ragapost Precious Pixie

Pixie new                pixie in new home
Pixie here before she left                            Pixie in her new home

Today 07/9/07 Ragapost Precious Pixie (Pixie) left us to go and live with her new owners Phil and Ania in Leeds. This was a very heartbreaking and emotional decision to let Pixie go as we were going to keep her here at Ragapost as a future breeding queen.
Sadly Pixie developed a tail fault which made her not able to be bred from so we made the difficult decison to let her go to a loving pet home.
We have been invited to be able to go and see Pixie whenever we want to which makes her leaving a little easier to bear but she will be greatly missed all the same. We will post updates and pictures as and when we receive them from her new owners.
Today 08/09/07 we received an email along with the picture posted above from Phil and Ania about Pixie. This is such a relief to know she is settled and happy.

Dear Sarah & Norman
Pixie has settled in really well (kept us awake most of the night purring and cuddling up to us for attention).  The car journey home was no problem at all, we think she actually enjoyed it .
Oh yes we have decided to keep the name you gave to her :o)
I feel sure she is fine as she is purring all the time and probably the most affectionate cat we have ever know!  We absolutely love her.
Here's a nice picture for your website!  And feel free to use any parts of the above text too.

Thank you both.

Ania & Phil

Ragapost Creme Delight

Donald new

Today 08/09/07 Ragapost Creme Delight (Donald), our 4th Ragapost baby went to live in his new home with his new owner Chantell and her son George in Manchester. Donald is going to hopefully be Chantell's solid colour stud boy and we are hoping to get him out on the show bench in the not too distant future as he is a stunning little boy.
We will post updated pictures of Donald as and when we receive them.

Ragapost Diamond Belle & Ragapost Crystal Moonlight

      Belle new                             tallulah

Today 10/09/07 Ragapost Diamond Belle (Persia) and Ragapost Crystal Moonlight (Tallulah) left us to go and live in their new home with their loving owners Gill and Wal Craven in Pickering, North Yorkshire. We have had reports they have settled in wonderfully and have met the other family cat but are yet to meet the dogs (not sure what they might make of them).
We will post updated pictures of Tallulah and Persia as and when we receive them.
Today 7/10/07 we received another email giving us an update on Tallulah and Persia. Here is a copy of what it says:
Hi Sarah
Thought I'd just drop you a quick line to let you know that both the girls are doing just fine and are so adorable, we love them to bits.....
They are really growing, particularly Persia, although Talullah is really filling out and is still so gutsy.  Talullah is on my knee as I am writing, she always is, then Persia clambers up to join her, it's great.

Talk soon

Darkcrystal Blue Ice

alfie new

After a very long, hard and difficult time we made the heartbreaking decision to let Darkcrystal Blue Ice (Alfie) go to a new home to be a potential stud boy. He was intentionally going to be our stud boy here at Ragapost but due to personal circumstances our breeding programme has had to be put on hold now for a year. It was unfair to keep Alfie and not have him working as he will be due to start anytime now. So it was decided to give him the chance to be able to do so elsewhere and not risk him becoming unhappy or depressed by being alone.
We had a lot of contact with his new owners Debbie and Mark Johnson over the space of many weeks. Then the decision was finally made and on 12/09/07 Alfie joined them in Poole, Dorset along with their raggie girl Peaches.
We have had many photo's of him sent to us already and he has settled in fantastically and is very spoilt and well loved. He is making friends slowly with Peaches and as each day passes they become closer.
We look forward to posting updated pictures of him as he grows and also ones of his own little family when he does begin to work.
27/04/08 today we had an update on Alfie. He is doing really well in his new home and him and Peaches are getting on famously. So much so he may be going to be a daddy at long last. It is a bit uncertain yet as to whether or not Peaches is definately pregnant but Debbie will keep me informed as to whether or not she is.
Alfie has grown into a very handsome young man. He hasn't changed much, he still looks the same and has the same gorgeous face I first fell in love with but he is much bigger.
Here are some new photo's of Alfie with his new companion Peaches.

Ragapost Tom Thumb

reggie new

Today 6/10/07 Ragapost Tom Thumb (Reggie) finally got a new family of his very own and left us after 19 long weeks from being born. It will feel very strange without him now as he had become a part of the furniture but it is lovely he has his own new family now just like his litter mates.
Reggie has gone to live not far away, at the other side of Leeds with his new owners Christine and Michael Gould. They have promised to keep in touch and send us updates of Reggie as he grows so we will post them as and when we receive them.
7/10/07 We spoke to Reggie's new mum and dad today and he has settled lovely. He is eating and playing and totally unbothered by his move. Here is a picture of him taken at his new house looking very charming for the camera.

Reggie new home

9/11/07 Today we received some lovely new pictures of Reggie aka Mr Gorgeous as he is now known. Reggie is turning into a handsome young man and is very spoilt. Here is the message his new mum and dad Carol and Mike sent us with his photo's.
Dear Sarah,
A couple more pictures of Reggie (presently known as Mr Gorgeous)
He is a delightful pussycat and we are very pleased to have him.

7/11/07 Today Emerisle Ragapost Jypsilou (Jypsi) left us to go to a loving pet home. She has gone to join Teddie at his new home with Katy and her family in Pontefract.
The decision for Jypsi to go was made due to us stopping breeding the ragdolls altogether now.
Jypsi will be spayed shortly but will continue to be shown by Katy. We will post updated pictures of her and her show progress reports as and when we receive them.
21/04/08 Today we received a new photo of Jypsi from Katy. She has turned into such a beautiful young lady now and is continuing to do well. Here is her new photo and one of her and her partner in crime Teddie who also went to live with Katy from here at Ragapost.

11/11/07 Today Willowbeck Fairy went to live with Gerry and her family in Herefordshire. This was a particularly hard and emotional decison but one that had to be made due to a change in our circumstances with our breeding programme.
Fairy has a new friend Romeo who is a 18 month old neutered ragdoll boy. She will be a foundation breeding queen for Gerry who also hopes to show her in the very near future.
We have had lots of contact since Fairy left and she is settling in very nicely at her new home. She even loves Nipper her new canine friend.
Here is a picture of her with Romeo making themselves comfy on their mums bed.
Something has caught Fairy's attention on the floor.
We have since heard from Fairy's new owner that she was entered into the TBRCC Show at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire at the beginning of January where Fairy came 3rd in her open class and also got 2 x 3rd's in her side classes. Well done Fairy and congratulations to Gerry who I know was over the moon with her success.

19/04/08 We have been updated by Gerry, Fairy's new owner that she has given birth to two wonderful little kittens. Mum and babies are both doing really well.

Ragapost Little Miracleman & Ragapost Cuteasabutton

Stuart new Dec    porchia new dec 2

Today 15/12/07 Ragapost Little Miracleman (Stuart) and his sister Ragapost Cuteasabutton (Porchia) went to their new homes together with Maureen and her family in Leeds.
It was a very hard day for all of us especially letting Stuart go as he was hand reared for 6 1/2 weeks and had formed a very close bond with us all.
This young man is very special to us all here at Ragapost and will be for the rest of his life.
Thankfully Maureen is a family friend so we will continue to see Stuart and Porchia develop and grow and can keep the website updated with lots of pictures of them.
07/02/08 Stuart and Porchia have settled really well with their new family and continue to get on well together.
Porchia is very loving and loves cuddling which is totally the opposite of how she used to be as a kitten. Stuart meanwhile is making up for lost time being a total monster and the demon of the family.
We received some new pictures of them today. Porchia doesn't look like the same cat anymore she seems so grown up. Stuart however is his same old self but not so scruffy looking. He looks like he is also going to have a magnificent tail as he gets older.

14/04/08 We received some updated photo's today of Stuart. These photo's left more than a lump in my throat, they also brought tears to my eyes as I never believe we'd see the day that he became such a handsome young man after his bad start in life.
He still has that certain Stuart look about him but its so hard to believe he is the little scrap of scruffiness he was on his first pictures to how he looks now.
A big thankyou goes to Maureen and her family for loving him and Porchia and giving them such a wonderful home.
Please excuse the quality of the pictures as they have been downloaded from a mobile phone and sent via text message.

Today 21/01/08 Emerisle Razzledazzle Roxie (Roxie) left us to go and live with her new family in Wales. Due to personal reasons it was decided that it would be best to try and rehome Roxie and get her settled in her new home sooner rather than later. As our breeding programme has been put on hold now for some months. This was a particularly hard decison for us to make as Roxie was our foundation breeding queen but we felt it was the best decison we could make for her.
Roxie is still going to be part of a breeding programme and will be a very good asset to her new owner Teigh who will be taking very good care of her.
We will get regular updates on Roxie's well being and how she is settling into her new life and her new raggie family.

                                 Midnight aged 6 weeks old

Today 03/02/08 Ragapost Midnight Blue (Midnight) left us to join his new family.
Midnight has gone to live with a previous kitten we bred Ragapost Tom Thumb (aka Mr Gorgeous) and his owners Mike and Carol Gould.
We spoke to Carol today and Midnight and Mr G are getting on like a house on fire and Mr G defiantely approves of his new house mate.
We will update on Midnights progress as and when we receive it.
A big thankyou to Carol and Mike for welcoming yet another of our special kittens into their family.
Today we received some photo's of Midnight together with his new big brother Mr G from his new owners. They seem to love each other very much as you can see from the photo's.

A really big thankyou to their new owners Mike and Carol for keeping us updated on their progress and continuing to send us photo's of them it is lovely for us to see them growing.

Ragapost Ocean Emperor

mias baby 6 weeks
                        Lexington aged 6 weeks old

Today 03/02/08 Ragapost Ocean Emperor (Lexington) also left us to join his new family.
Lexington has gone to live with Carolyn and her family in Huddersfield so he is not a million miles away from us which is nice.
We will update on Lexington's progress as and when we receive it from his new owners.
07/02/08 We have heard today that Lex has settled very well into his new home. He is getting on well with the dog and doesn't seem scared of her at all. She seems to enjoy washing him too which is nice.
This is what his new mum Carolyn had to say:
Hi Sarah,
I know Lexington hasn't been long gone from you but I thought I'd send you a couple of pics I've managed to get done of him. He's settled in brilliantly and gets on really well with the other cat and the dog. He's already spoiled rotten and the subject of many arguments between the kids over "who will hold him next."
We'll keep in touch and send through pics of him so you can watch his progress and see how he grows up.
Carolyn
Here are his new pictures that we were sent.

12/04/08 We also received some updated photo's of Lex today as well. He too is growing up fast and continues to do very well.
Lex is a mini me version of his mum Mia. Looking at the first picture of him he is Mia's double when she was a kitten.
Another big thankyou goes to Carolyn and J for continuing to keep us updated with reports and photo's on Lex's progress.

grace by alan

26/04/08 Sadly due to problems breeding these wonderful cats we decided to rehome our ragdoll breeding girls. Grace was, after lots of deliberation and tears, our last furry friend to be found a new loving home.
She is now living in Wales at Ragvale with a wonderful lady called Kate and her cat loving family. Grace has lots of other Ragdolls to keep her company and has also made friends with the family dog.
Grace will be one of Kate's show cats when she is back in condition after having her kittens and hopefully will continue to do well and get her other 2 CC's and be made up to Champion status.
We have had lots of updates on Grace since she left us last week and we are confident she has settled in well and is a very much loved part of the family.
My deepest thanks and gratitude go to Kate for giving her such a wonderful home.
